As I lay here in bed and listen to my exhausted husband snore...I reflect on our life on the Ranch in one the prettiest, most peaceful amazing towns we could ask for. Ranch life isn’t easy I’ve know that all my life as the managers kid we got put to work as soon as we could go. We learned as we went and we learned from our mistakes and sometimes we had to relearn them. Ranch life teaches you hard work hands downs some of the hardest work there is...but the rewards that come with it are indescribable! From sunup to sundown you go go go...and just pray the phone doesn’t ring...”cows are out” “ waters flooding somewhere it’s not suppose too” “cows sick” “fence is Down” let me tell you there are so many more than that! Ranch life teaches you to be patient and appreciate the “slow” “quiet” very few times that those happen. The ranch life doesn’t ever stop...it’s not a 9-5 Monday-Friday job...it’s everyday all day long...you can try to plan all you want to but the odds of a plan sticking are few and far between. We’d all like to think that we have every thing under control but let’s face it when you put Mother Nature and cows together nothing’s ever going to go as planned😂There is no better way to raise kids...they learn so much from respect to hard work and will carry that through life with them. Don’t get me wrong Ranch life has it’s fun too and we make sure that we make work fun too...which isn’t hard when you have good people to work with! The best part of the move to Ranch life is that even though my amazing husband is exhausted at night...I’ve never seen him come home from work before now with such a big happy smile on his face!! The kids enjoy it just as much and me well I soak it all in and enjoy each and everyone of their smiles and try to capture those smile every chance I get!!
